This month I read a total eight books. Two of these were library books and the rest are books that I own. Below is a more detail description of each book that I read.
Fangirl – Rainbow Rowell
I read this book in June, but it crossed over into July as I finished it then.
This book was amazing! I rated it a 4 on Goodreads.
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell is a contemporary novel following two identical twins starting out at university, or college as it is referred to in other places.
Throughout the twin’s lives, they have always been and done things together. That is until Wren wants to separate herself from Cath so that she can be considered as an individual away from her twin. Cath who is not as social as Wren, has to overcome her social anxieties to experience college life without the comfort and safety of her other half.

This is Not My Hat – Jon Klassen
I saw this book in the library. I was attracted to the illustrations that I believe was drawn by the author. This is a cute children’s book about a fish that finds a hat, which belongs to another fish.
I rated this book 4 stars on Goodreads, and I would recommend this as a book to be read to young children.
The Cuckoo’s Calling – Robert Galbraith
I wanted to read this because of the sequel that has just been released. I don’t read detective novels but I wanted to give this one a go because of all the reviews that I’ve read. I’m glad I read it because I loved it. I rated it 3.5 stars on Goodreads.

The Knife Of Never Letting Go – Patrick Ness
I loved this book, everything about it was gripping and exciting. I can only give this book praises because Patrick Ness did a spectacular job and creating a story. I can’t wait until I read the Ask of Asking, which is the next book in the series. I have to continue this next month, because it’s ending left me wanting to find out what happens next. I have to know.
The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness follows Todd, the youngest boy in a town full of men. It is a town where everyone’s thoughts are not their own. Everyone can hear the noise of everyone’s thoughts, which Todd has had to live with since he was born.

But things are not a clear as they seem, and soon Todd’s life is turned upside down, and he is forced to flee his hometown, to enter an unknown world, with only his loyal dog for company. It is on this journey, that Todd discovers who he is, and the truth to all the lies that he has been told.

Elizabeth Is Missing – Emma Healey
I never planned to pick this book up this month, but the synopsis to it was really good, that I couldn’t resist not buying it. I rated this book 4 stars of Goodreads.

Mouse Bird Snake Wolf – David Amond
This is a children’s book, which follows three children who try and create more creatures and bring them into the world. This is because all the Gods are tired from creating the whole world, so are busy relaxing and congratulating themselves for their achievements. Although trouble soon finds it’s way to them.
Landline – Rainbow Rowell
I ordered this book to arrive on its release date, and I was really happy when I received it. The cover to this book is amazing, I love rotary dial phones, I have one myself.
I rated this book 3.5 stars out of five
Landline by Rainbow Rowell, is a contemporary novel that follows Georgie a wife and mother of two. Georgie is on her way to being a successful TV writer, and now has the opportunity to write for her own show. However to do this, she would have to abandon her family days before Christmas in order to meet the script’s deadline.
While her family are away Georgie feels alone, and using her parent’s landline to call her husband from her old Rotary dial phone, she encounters her husband from the past. It is here that against all marital problems that they’d been through, she learns about what is important in her marriage.
